More than 500 companies took part in the exhibition (35% of them being foreign), and in total more than 1800 companies, associations and regions of Russia sent their delegations. During these four days, INNOPROM was visited by 20,000 people.
National expositions were presented by 11 foreign countries (partner country Italy, Japan, Belarus, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Zimbabwe, Kazakhstan, Poland, The Czech Republic, Uzbekistan), regional expositions were shown by 18 constituent entities of the Russian Federation (Altai Territory, Kaluga Region, Krasnodar Territory, Leningrad Oblast, Lipetsk Oblast, Moscow Government, Perm Krai, Republic of Crimea, Republic of Tatarstan, Republic of Udmurtia, Rostov Oblast, Sverdlovsk Oblast, Saratov Oblast, Tomsk Oblast, Tula Oblast, Ulyanovsk Oblast, Chelyabinsk Oblast and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug). The largest national exposition was presented by the Italian Republic (61 companies), which acted in the honorary status of a partner country.
38 foreign countries sent delegations to participate in INNOPROM. The official delegations of Italy, Hungary, Serbia, Slovenia, Zimbabwe, as well as the EAEU countries (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan) were headed by ministers in charge of industry. The event was also attended by Artak Kamalyan, the Minister for Industry and Agroindustrial Complex of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
Within the INNOPROM framework, more than 100 business events were held on topical issues of industrial development, including industrial digitalization, production automation, cybersecurity, robotization, energy saving and energy efficiency, waste management and utilization, the development of hydrogen technologies, personnel training, etc. At the beginning of the plenary session, the National Industrial Prize “Industry” was awarded to the winner – “S-Innovations”, the creator of a technology based on high-temperature superconductors. The award was given to the resident of the Skolkovo Foundation (VEB.RF Group) by Mikhail Mishustin, the Chairman of the Russian Government.

On the eve of the INNOPROM opening, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation held a meeting with the heads of the leading Russian and foreign industrial enterprises-participants: Enel, Pirelli, Skoda Auto, Renova, Kaspersky Lab, 1C, KAMAZ, UMMC, SIBUR , “PK Transport Systems”, “MCC” Eurochem”, etc.
On July 5, the first day of the International Industrial Trade Fair INNOPROM 2021, the main strategic session “Flexible Manufacturing. Maximum Adaptation” was held. The main session of INNOPROM-2021 was opened by Mikhail Mishustin, the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation. “I am sure that much of what theINNOPROM guests and participants will see here, will open up new opportunities for them. And in joint discussions, answers will be found to difficult questions. How the industry will change. What can and should be done by public authorities for this? And most importantly, what consequences of such a transformation people will face. After all, technologies not only simplify our life but also create an environment in which the usual methods no longer work,” Mishustin said in his speech.
Denis Manturov, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, in his speech, touched upon the issues of automation and robotization: “Many people are afraid that some professions will disappear and mankind will face a problem with the lack of jobs. This is not true. According to all international experts’ opinions, by 2025 about 83 existing occupations will be lost, but 95 new will appear. There is no problem of lack of jobs in our country. Today we are in constant search of new highly qualified specialists required by the new enterprises”.
